Coming to Vancouver always feels like coming home to me. And especially when my first night sleepover in Vancouver is happening with my cherish Vancouver famjam: Shaun, Liz, Daphne, and Jake. I am so blessed to come here and feel family connection. The night started off with me, Aunty Tan Tan having a dance party with my niece Daphne and my nephew Jake. Jake's fave song to dance to is: Uptown Funk, and Daphne loves Shake it Off by Taylor Swift. We danced, laughed and played. Afterwards Liz joined us for the teaching of inside body parts such as the male reproductive organs and the female reproductive organs (in Spanish of course, seeing that I purchased these foam puzzles in my Mexico travels). It was fun to see Daphne's knowledge expand as we discussed more human body systems.
When the kids went to sleep (and they did so without much fuss for once!), Liz, Shaun and I played our beloved game Settlers of Catan. We three have been playing this game for almost 12 years together. And you know what?! Liz is getting damn good!
What is your fave board game to play with friends?
