This night was harder than previously prepared. I had planned on a few nights during this experience where it would be just Paloma and I having a sleepover, resting, reflecting. This was one of those planned nights, but unfortunately Paloma was too sick to get on the plane to Calgary, so it was just me at my Mom's house in Calgary. Of course I supported Paloma in her taking care of herself and going home to rest. I trucked on with my sniffles. Mom picked me up from the airport, made me gluten free/vegan chilli. We watched the new show The Launch, and I became obsessed with the song Ain't Easy with Elijah Woods & Jamie Fine. So so good! :)
While driving to her place, I reflected on how much snow used to be a part of my life and how foreign it has become in my experience currently. Memories flooded in for me that night in a house I grew up in. And the office I slept in has a portrait of mid-twenties Tanille adventuring in Europe.
I slept a lot. It was nice.
